Twitch sub badge emote pack: a 60-second guide for streamers

Twitch sub tiers each unlock a new set of emote slots — tier 1 (28×28), tier 2 (56×56), and tier 3 (112×112). Most streamers under 100 subscribers only ever ship tier 1 emotes, leaving the larger sub-tier rewards empty. How many emotes do I need?

Twitch gives you 1 emote slot at affiliate, 5 at partner, and progressively more as you grow. The 20-emote character-locked pack is sized so you can fill emote slots incrementally — start with 5, add more as you unlock slots, and never run out of cohesive options. The Twitch emote dashboard accepts uploads in any order; the named files (laugh.png, rage.png, etc) make picking the right reaction trivial.

A common mistake: generate one 1024×1024 master and downscale to 28×28. The result looks muddy at chat-height because the model didn't paint fine detail at small sizes. Generate each tier natively — paint the 28×28 with fewer details and bolder colors so it reads at chat height, paint the 112×112 with full detail. Commercial license — can I sell these?

Yes, if your tool ships with a commercial license. Pile, Midjourney (with paid plan), and DALL-E (paid) all allow commercial reuse of generated images.
